CROP Hunger Walk

CROP Hunger Walk

What is a CROP hunger Walk?

A community-led fundraising evet to end hunger

Global solidarity with the millions who walk miles every day in search of food and water

An opportunity to support CWS development projects and disaster assistance globally

Assistance for 1,900 local food banks and soup kitchens in the U.S.

You participation impacts individuals and families in more then 35 countries.  In many developing nations, people can walk up to six miles a day to get food and water.  One in nine people worldwide lack access to clean water and a healthy diet.  We walk to be in solidarity, bring awareness to these issues and raise the funds for permanent change.

Annually, CROP Hunger Walkers raise nearly $10 million to bring help and hope.

25% of the money raised in our CROP Hunger Walk is distributed to local hunger-alleviating agencies in the Somerset County area.  These are the agencies chosen by the local CROP Hunger Walk Planning Team to receive funds this year: Food Bank Network of Somerset Count and the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program
